RV Bengal Ganga
Inspired by traditional Burmese river vessels and colonial-era steamships, the MV Bengal Ganga offers a unique blend of heritage charm and contemporary flair. Originally built in 2004 and recently refreshed, the ship now features an eclectic 1970s-inspired décor that brings together wood, metal, and leather to complement the gleaming Burmese teak floors and decks.
Cabins & Accommodation
Each cabin opens onto a communal balcony, inviting you to unwind and take in the ever-changing scenery of the Ganges. Whether you're enjoying the golden glow of sunset or the quiet rhythm of the river, the Bengal Ganga surrounds you with old-world elegance and modern comfort.

Entertainment
You’ll experience something which many of us have lost touch with: a much slower and simpler pace of life. This is reflected in the rhythm of your days on board the RV Bengal Ganga with ample time to just relax on the ship as most days include several hours’ sailing.

Activities
Shipboard activities include the chef’s cooking demonstrations, lectures on contemporary Indian life, religion and culture and some fascinating documentaries in the evenings.

Food & Drink
All meals are served in the main deck dining room at tables for four or six. Breakfast is buffet-style with cereals, yoghurts, fruit, hot options like sausages and eggs, breads, pastries, and Indian dishes. Lunch is typically a buffet of mainly Indian cuisine.

Well Being
Early morning yoga classes run every day, and there is an Ayurvedic Spa to soothe any tired limbs at the end of the day!

Gratuities
If you would like to tip the staff, a good guideline is to give €8-12 per person per day should you feel that is appropriate. If you do choose to give a gratuity, there will usually be an envelope is left in your cabin on the final evening. This is for you to be able include any tips, and you can then drop it off at reception the following morning. The tips are divided equally between the crew. Should you also wish to give a gratuity directly to your Riviera Travel Cruise Director and Concierge, this is also at your discretion.
